Roy Bentham, of the Spirit of Shankly fans' group, said: "Once again, it's an inconvenience for Liverpool fans."

Anybody else read this and just think stop moaning and deal with it. There is loads of time to make alternative travel plans. London has to put up with the constantly broke underground / overground every day. Its not as if they purposely did it knowing Liverpool fans were visiting.

Scheduled engineering work has prompted Virgin Trains to cancel all of its Lime Street to Euston services on the day - bar three before 0800 BST.

Yes. Virgin did this just because Liverpool are playing in London on that day.

It's a conspiracy.

Might as well re-arrange it at Anfield, force Chelsea to play with under 12s only and also award Liverpool status as the Worlds Capital City with all taxes paid to fund Scouse perms.

Liverpool Champions of the World at self pitying.

Are you really still this bitter? Did Liverpool knocking you out of the FA Cup 23 years ago **** you off this much?

Is this conspiracy stuff the new "next year's our year", as in Liverpool fans don't say it but something bitters/mancs claim we say it?

Non Story, op bringing it up tbh train network is dire and needs fixing, so work always falls on weekends, doesn't really make sense to force people to Crewe etc. not after all those Liverpool fans went to London on Saturday, Everton fans would be miffed because this would have happened to them.

Had to laugh at the lack of fans to Spurs/Chel literally a walk for them, disgusting support

Indeed, it's just a non story; Railway's (certainly the underground) do loads of maintenance over the weekend and over night.

If it's 'that' much of a problem, I'm sure a club the size of L'pool and given the fan base they wouldn't have any problems getting coaches. Hell, it would be a quick and easy way to really get your reputation up with the fans if the owners organised and paid for coaches (and then billed the FA, just because)

Nice chap

Baffled he's still posting after what he said about H'boro.

Oh look another is anyone fed up with Liverpool doing xyz thread.

And look who makes his usual cameo only in Liverpool bashing threads, the ____ of the century himself.

Altgough hopefully this will mean the fans who how up, don't sing and just call half our players ****houses and **** for most of the match can't come. Who are all pretty much scousers.
The guy behind me asked why is skrtel still playing after fouling jelavic as he's been **** all season. /mad

It's a conspiracy.
Nobody has claimed it's a conspiracy, it's just terrible scheduling. Even Virgin must be kicking themselves, knowing that they're going to be losing out on so many tickets.

But I'll bet good old train service bureaucracy means they can't shift the schedule for this work, even with the month's warning.

They best catch a bus then.

They won't let them drink on one of those so it had better be a coach. :p

Who cares, next they'll be telling us they're suffering from fixture congestion. Waits for the complaints about playing a second cup final on Tuesday the 8th.

Surely the club arrange coaches?

I'm confused as to why the final is now being played when the league season is still pending. It was always regarded as the final curtain for the domestic season. Can the FA be accused of further undervaluing the competition??

It’s because of Euro 2012 and having a clear period before the start of it. That period starts after the seson ends on the 13th but the CL final is on the 19th.
