It seems that not even the Liverpool manager thinks they can win tonight linky.

Both sides have some serious injuries with Liverpool being without Luis Garcia and Crotch ;)
Arsenal are without Reyes, RvP and Bergkamp.

Should be an interesting game (especially from a neutrals perspective).

Any pre-match predictions?

Re-read that article quite a few times and not sure where you think he says Arsenal will win? I think he got confused with his word, but he doesn't say we'll lose.

It'll be an interesting game, looking forward to watching and it'll be great atmosphere. I think it'll be scrappy, but we'll squeeze a win :D

Walcott had a slight injury playing for the reserves/in training, so he won't be making the full team yet.

I see the game being rather dull actually, and I predict a 0-0. Liverpool will probably play a 4-5-1, and given our still fairly threadbare team, and that we're away from home to a big club, I could see Wenger doing the same for us. But I'll pray for 4-4-2s all round and the good flowing football that both teams can be capable of just in case, and a little bit of luck on our side would be nice.

\o/ we might actually be able to play with 4 defenders tonight. A novel concept, of course we still might have a CB at LB, but 4 defenders! Wow.
Heh, I just made a point on another site that if Clichy gets back into full training soon (as has been rumoured), we'll actually have a full set of correctly-positioned defenders available for us. I think I'd probably faint if that happened. :p

Do you think Wallcott will be involved?

Hurt his shoulder last week, and was out for a few days. He's training again, and I think the first we will see of him is at Blackburn or Fulham.

Whose this Ashley Cole player we are suppose to have? Never heard of him, much cop?

The draw at 2-1 seems good value as does Fowler as an anytime goalscorer at 7/4, we all know Robbie likes to score against the Gunners.

Arsenal are coming here looking for a win and as such I expect Rafa to employ a counter attack strategy with either Cisse or Morientes up front on his own to start. The two teams will probably cancel each other out and if there are goals they will be few and far between.

My prediction? 1-1

Ashley Cole no longer exists on this plane of existence I believe, given his disappearance from any news recently. Before long, his entire existence will have removed itself from our timeline, and he'll never have actually been born!

On the plus side, that means one less player for Chelsea to have tapped up.

Whilst we may have a better defence than in recent weeks, I can't see beyond a Scouse victory tonight, maybe 2 - 0, hopefully I'm wrong, as per my Prediction League performances so far. :)

If you read what he said, he actually says that just because Liverpool are above Arsenal in the League he doesn't automatically think that Liverpool are better than Arsenal and doesn't say that Arsenal are better than Liverpool.
As for the result i'll go for a 2-0 Liverpool win, Fowler to come off the bench to score the 2nd (he always scores against Arsenal).

Yes but read what the OP said, "It seems that not even the Liverpool manager thinks they can win tonight" Rafa doesn't say that anywhere

Hehe, as a Magpie it was a bit of hyperbole from an indipendant party. I didn't mean to offend anyone :o

I really hope it doesn't end up a boring 0-0 or 1-1 draw. Especially after 'The Thrill-A-Minute Weekend Of Goals' (offical Title) that was last weekends matches.

;)

Anyway heres hoping for a good game.
