Bumper; which is a medium sized bar. 14-18 hardman street close-ish to the city center, its the only place worth it on a Sunday in my eyes. Its not that big of a venue but can be really busy even on a Sunday. From what I recall (not lived in the pool for a few years but yer) music is indy/pop that kinda jazz. Good fun anyways.
The krazyhouse isn't open on a Sunday baring special events, and besides its an alternative rock/metal/etc club so if your not into the alternative scene I'd give that a pass!
Garlands is a club and is part of the gay scene in Liverpool, haven't been personally but I think its open Sunday night till 12-1 ish, quite a unique and fun venue what from I hear.
Honestly, I'd say go out for a nice meal near the cinema area @ Liverpool one shopping area near the "bottom end" of town (bottom end being closer to the waterfront!). Lot's of different types of restaurants depending on taste. Head out to bumber @ around 9-10 and yer you're set.
As for where to stay, I'd stick to a hotel in the city center. Not sure which one, never stayed in a hotel in liverpool since i have an apartment there but yer. Get your google on and check some out.
But anyways depends on your taste really, hard to suggest. And also a lot has probably changed in the 3 year i'v not lived in liverpool. Either way I hope you have a great time, liverpool is a great city to have a good time in!
