So I'm stuck in a contract for 6 months now., at first it was ok, then it got worse, the people in this flat don't appear to wash up, it's now at the point where nearly all pots are used up and it's being nearly 2 weeks since they've done any washing up.

As a result I'm unable to eat because I can't wash up as there is no sink space or top space, but also because there simply is no pots to use.

So I've had no choice but to eat sarnies or pasta salads from Tesco, it can't be the most healthy thing, however there must be some things in Tesco that is relatively cheap that can be used for a meal that does not involve cooking anything and then adding up to not much more than a weeks worth of shopping normally?

Proper annoying not being able to eat as I want to cycle properly and doing 200+ miles a week means needing the correct food or at least semi decent food.

Seriously? Is this how low we've stooped in here? My sink is full of other people's dirty dishes so I can't cook???

I give up...

I'm waiting for the "no toilet paper in bathroom so can't wipe my ****" thread.

Well the is almost no toilet paper because they've being using mine.

But no, the magnitude of the washing up is huge, there is about 25 plates and everything from every other cupboard, how do I was up when there is no sink. I was my stuff up straight away when I can actually use the kitchen facilities.

Bin liner - all pots in the bag, in the bin.

Im confused as someone would waste their money on Tescos processed food. Saying there is no room to do the washing up is abit on the facepalm side too.

Sink rammed, tops full of plates.

Really!? The nasty people don't wash up so now I've got to live off pre packed crap, REALLY!?
I take it you and your flatmates are all grown ups, ******* talk about it!

If they still don't listen take a bin bag to it as said.

Put there pots and pans outside their door and tell them if they don't clean up there going out the back door. If they don't keep it tidy contact your landlord

FFS, just put the pots and pans on the floor if you have to!

...Then once you've washed them up, you can use your nice clean pans to bash their lazy faces in.

Treat yourself to a sandwich, or a pasta salad, after :)

To be fair, I'm not sure it's his responsibility to buy new kitchenware just because the lazy sods he lives with can't/won't wash up. Nor should he have to clean up after them to create space and free up pots.

In saying that, have you actually spoken to them about this???

Some people just need a gentle reminder.

The boundless ineptitude and inadequacy of some of the Posters here never fails to entertain.

Jeez. If you're unable to talk to your flatmates and sort out the mess then get a cheap washing up bowl, some soap and a dishcloth and keep them in your room. Get a cheap camping gas burner and there you go. Cook and wash up your own things in your own room.

I had this problem at uni. We must have had 25 or so plates (+ pots, glasses, mugs etc) which no one ever washed up but me. This meant the entire kitchen was covered in dirty plates etc. So I "confiscated" all but 4 plates, enough for 1 each so we could all eat at the same time, but it meant the maximum number of dirty plates was 4, not 25.

Bag the majority of the dirty pots up and hide them in your garage/shed/wherever.

Please willhub, before you do anything...fix the title of this thread.

It's really starting to irritate me.
