Did't really have a lot of time for Livingstone up until the speech he gave after the London Bombing, that was a cracker. I now have a strange respect for him, a similar respect to George Galloway, while I don't particulary agree with their politics or what they have to say I'm glad they have the freedom to express exactly how they feel without the fear for reprisal for their view.
Unfortunately in this case he should have just aplogised and have done with it, he strikes me as a pretty proud and stubborn man and once he was backed into a corner he just wasn't willing to back down.
