Lloyds TSB announces 566 job cuts

Honestly I don't understand banks, they are open when everybody is at work and can't get to them and they are closed in the evening!

I was with Lloyds and went to Barclays as I received some terrible customer service from Lyoyds but to be honest Barclays aren't much better. Most of the time all I need it the hole in the wall and that is it, when you require anything beyond basic service then it all falls down as its not on the "script"

Computer says No!

I dont have a script

I think its just one of those things where you either do or do not have a bad experience(s) - personally had nothing but hassle with Barclays, and been fine with Lloyds and HSBC, but i know plent who have had problems with Lloyds and HSBC and nothing with Barclays.

Although i work for Lloyds i consider HSBC to be a much better bank, they deal with things with a lot more ease then Lloyds, a lot more understanding about money issues too

Hopefully. I think quite a few companies have discovered that outsourcing to India wasn't such a great financial decision after all.

Yup, i kinda feel bad the slating that Indians etc.. get because they are doing perfect jobs to how they've been trained, but they just dont always understand what we ask, and for that they get very very slated and abused on the phone. The thing is not all Indians are abroad, we have a few on our floor, they are top guys/gals and we hear the abuse they get, quite often have to take over calls because the callers dont even believe they are speaking to someone in England.

Sadly the outsourcers only have themselves to blame for that. Nothing wrong with the people, but outsourcers were just after cheap labour and didn't realise the consequences.
