Loan...

I'm talking out town drinking and partying. I go out for meals and to the cinema with the mrs and mates but thats just normal everyday life.

cinema isnt cheap
eating out isnt cheap
booze isnt cheap

either way you look at it its still money you dont have going on things you dont need.

i am just speech less...

Dont take your job for granted. I was going to borrow a small amount (2k) on my Credit card to help a car purchase but backed out of it. THANK GOD i did as i was made redundant in what i thought was a "safe" job. Im now unemployed and cant claim job seekers due to being a student. Finding it hard to find work that will fit around my uni schedule. Luckily i didnt go crazy with the credit card!!

Ever seen the BBC program "Beat the Bailiff"?

They will come and take all your stuff, except some clothes and some "white" goods.

Take it all to Auction and sell it all for a fraction of what you paid, and then they will present you with a bill for the Bailiff action for the removal of goods and the Auction house costs, putting you further in debt.

Have a good day.

i can afford that now with my current £454 a month debt. Amazes me people say don't do it and what if you lose your job... what about mortgages etc...

Some people on here are utter trolls.

Yea sure. We disagree because we are trolls, not because you try and live a better life than your salary allows you.

You say i need to learn a few lessons, i think some of you need to realise we arent all the same and maybe you wouldnt be comfortable with the debt but i am. As for my pc spec you all keep mentioning. I bought that using cash from my eBay buying and selling!

Gets better, now you think you are some sort of delboy, that'll be why you earn 900 quid a month...

What car have you got?

You appear to lack basic common sense, this is why you keep allowing yourself to acrue more and more debt at ridiculous interest rates. You don't think things through, you just get them without a care in the world.

Half your salary on debt!

50% of your take home pay on debt. The mind boggles.

Exactly! It doesn't matter if you earn £500 or £5,000, 50% is still 50%!

The OP works two entire weeks each month just to break-even. I'm sorry, but that simple equation really does highlight a significant lack of intellect and/or awareness.

£454 a month for 2 and a half years
or £297 for 2 and a half years....

Naturally, paying less money back is 'cheaper, but you still have to pay the same amount back.

With the 'cheaper' option, are you paying back for longer? Or what?

And just keep paying it off for 4.8 years?

Sound advice!

You kind of agreed to that when you took the loan / finance out im afraid...

So you only have one car?

Why did you say you had two that your paying for with your bank account?

if its not yours get the person it belongs to to pay with his / hers bank account = your better off

Tbh...as above, if it's the ladys car, get her to pay it back, on her account, not yours, which will naturally help your cause, even though its not you paying it back.

Yes, people have been blunt towards you...but getting mroe loans doesn't always help, you still need to pay something back...You may be paying 'less' back each month, but you will not doubt be paying mroe back in the long run (depending on the loan)
