Just recently found out there was a Rc car club in my area
Popped down to there wendsday evening bash in the local industrial estate .
There was around 20 cars there of all shapes and sizes .. mostly 1/8th trucks but some 1/10th scale buggys and road cars .

When we arrived it was chav central with loads of the barry boy novas etc but once they got bored and left the fun got started .
Some of the cars were seriously quick (Shumy Menace and Nitro 4 tek) were really quick and some of the bigger stuff did not hang about .

it started to get interesting when out came the ramps and the transit van .
Was a good night and a nice bunch of lads. Looking forward to there sunday meet :)

32mb video here

Im afraid its Youtube as its the only host i could find that would do more than 25mb . best to let it start then pause it and come back when its fully loaded as even on 10mb it does not stream .

Enjoy

Please excuse the dodgy editing as its my first video

hey dont forget the Revo :) if there setup well they go round corners like there on rails, quite unlike a truck.
my little beast now weighs less than 9lb's and has around 2.75hp, good for 50+mph and 2nd gear wheelies. rc trucks have come along way!

couple of pics....

Good truck but i've never rated the design much, compaired to the savage they always look like it will fold in half when you crash them.

I like the revo ...But poor parts availability in my LHS stopped me buying one .
Next day for HPI and 1 week for traxxas :(
Might get a Havoc soon as they seem pretty popular and pretty quick . I would like a LST2 but at £500 its abit much after buying the savage .

Just had a close look at yer pictures ...is yer truck abit of a shelf queen :D

they dont exactly fold in half when you crash them, but yeah they are relatively fragile, well compared to the tank like design of the savage anyway. From a suspension geometry pov they rock, you can get them real dialled in for racing, can even run adjustable centre diffs to bios the power distribution, so in that respect there pretty race orientated, not really the best for bashing. although in the uk its more onroad and not of road competition, so i end up doing that anyway.

my lhs stock traxxas parts, but at a cost. I end up gettin all my stock parts off a nice guy i found on ebay that manages to get by selling revo parts for peanuts. always next day so i cant complain.

hey its caked in mud right now, i promise. i just tend to give my cars a serious rebuild and replacement a little to often.

the one thing i really like about the lst is its stock motor, that mach .26 engine is a gem!

yeah 8th nitro buggies are the true off-roaders, but trucks just have that certain appeal to them.
If I could afford a truck I'd get one right now. They are awesome for just hooning about with. Nigh on indestructible

you could always convert your hyper into a truggy.
iirc JT racing make a cool "truggy" conversion kit for the hyper 7 buggy.

this is a truggy converted mbx4 buggy....
