Location of XP Icons!? Where is it?

Where is the folder containing the XP Icons, or its location.?

I'm guessing its c:\windows\something something

Icons are quite often built into the .exe file of the application.
A lot are here - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\shell32.dll
Some old style extras are here - c:\windows\system32\moricons.dll

Yeah, I knew that that was the location, but what I wanted to know is......is it possible to view the icons in a different way to right clicking on an icon and choosing 'customise'

i.e. can you preview them in any way and 'drop' new ones in!?

You can get programs to extract icons out of DLLs, not sure about adding the though.

you can change icons by right clicking a shortcut-> options -> change icon

you can dl icons from plenty of places - google

edit: sorry I misunderstood, I dont know how to preview icons - the previews given by explorer thumbnails in my icons folder are really bad
