Locked only key in car

I did this at a sports match with my university. I phoned the RAC and they came within 10 mins. The guy used a bar thing to wedge the door away, then put an inflatable bag in (reminded me of the thing they use to check blood pressure :rolleyes:).

After inflating, the door was bent about an inch away from the frame, I was expecting the window to blow out but it didnt. He then put a piece of wire in and pulled up the lock knob thing. Scratched it a bit but apart from that its all good.

Door went back to straight too :cool:

So my advice is phone the RAC, they will come VERY quick :)
 
I did this once with my old Rover, while trying to force the broken window down to get in, I felt like I was punched in the back, when I looked around, no-one was there and I realised I had just been pooed on by a Seagull! I also had to walk several miles with heavy shopping bags to get home and get my spare key.

Yeah, my mums going to call the RAC when she gets in. We are covered by them i think.
 
Right,w ell just got cover by the RAC and they are coming out in 10 mins to get in hopefully. £134 i had to dish out though for membership!
 
You in Newcastle mate? Im sure id of gotten the door open for cheaper than £134 like lol

Aye, im in Newcastle. And yeah, the price was for 1 years membership. which well i need as my cars 15 year old and bound to breakdown sometime. but he;s been and opened it in a couple minutes. Went and got a new key cut aswell, so this will never happen again!
