locked out of SSD

i have been restoring my computer after a freak boot disk failure on the SSD. i am now running windows off a different drive and want to go salvage stuff off the SSD. i tried chkdsk with command prompt but i get the "access denied - do not have sufficient privileges" message. theres a LOT of important documents on there i need access to. in short,

HOW DO I FIX A RAW DRIVE WITHOUT LOSING EVERYTHING ON IT?

good shout, says "the type of file system is RAW" and that chkdsk doesnt work for RAW?

nah no luck. thanks for the help anyway. im gonna go get drunk then reformat the SSD before i overthink what i just lost.

not seeing anything about hot plug options... im no expert but that sounds kind of dangerous for the drives?
