Log book help

I'm currently in the process of part ex' my car and I just remember the log book is in my mothers name. Will she have to be there to transfer it over or can I do it without her? Also If I wanted to register the new cars log book in her name would she have to be there also?

No idea how this slipped my mind. I will be calling them tomorrow but thought I'd check here see if any of you folk would know what I need to do.

Any help is appreciated.

So I could get insurance at a reasonable price on my corsa 1.4.

I paid for the cars finance but put the log book in her name so I could save on the insurance as I had only just passed my test.

How is it illegal? The insurance is in her name and I'm the added driver. She also has use of the car but i pay for it.

As the car is in the process of failing I would prefer to exchange it.

And I would declare the the log book is in her name and registered keeper was me if needed anyway.

We both us it as much as each other. Also what the point of paying to have an additional driver if they are expected to hardly drive it? If I would be insured to drive it then whats the problem? Unless it states I can only drive so many miles a year in it?

Is still live with my mother so getting her to come won't be a problem. It just means delaying me pickin the car up due to her work. Also hence that's why we both have use of the car. No point having 3 cars if we live in the same house and work different shifts.
