Log book question

Another question from my dad.

He's gagging to get his A3 Sportsback and wants to know how long it takes to get his log book back from the DVLA so he can sell his current car? (apparently 3/4 weeks)

He was just wondering what the usual time is, rather than their estimated time?

Anyone know from experience?

The longest i've ever had to wait it ten days. I've actually sold a car without a log book as I only kept the car for a few days and I forwarded it on when it came in the post.
