Do I need any special software to do this other than XP Pro? Basically I want to be able to log onto the server at work over my broadband connection and work as I would do normally. They have a fixed IP address broadband connection, a hardware firewall and a router, then the server.

If anyone could talk me through how to do this it would be dead handy.

Thanks

Not too worried about being compromised as we've got good virus checkers and sensible people using the computers. I'd rather go the VPN route as it's built in isn't it?

Email is fine as that's not coming through the server but they run some software that is hosted on the server and goes out as clients for everyone logged on. I know there will be a bit of a delay but it should still work. I also want to use the shared folders and printers.

I wasn't sure if you could do it with some clever befiddlery of IP addresses as they have a fixed IP address. How do you go about setting up the VPN then?
