Logging user out

ok i want to create a shortcut on a users desktop so they can access a folder on the server.

however they have previously logged into the server with a username that has restricted rights and clicked save the password option. so the folder just opens and then says they do not have permission to access this folder.

how do i log that user out so i can log in and give them access?

Try looking up how to use the "net use" command and specify a username and password with.

thanks but theres a lot of commands to go with that and i cant find how to do it.

If its just a shortcut remove the shortcut and recreate, if they have mapped it as a drive unmap the drive and then remap it manually.
