Hi all, in regards to webcams:

After researching it in detail, there are several differences between the Logitech Brio Pro 4K and the Logitech Brio Stream Edition, on a hardware and firmware level.

One main difference is that the Stream Edition is designed to only output 1080p at 60fps, with no choice to choose 30fps, as is on the Pro 4K regular version.

However, it seems that it is possible to use 30fps at 1080p with the Stream Edition by using a USB 2.0 socket and not USB 3.0, due to the throughput of data being slower with USB 2.0.

As per the manufacturer's description:
  • USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 limited to 1080p/30fps)

- Could anyone please confirm that this is the case, and how this works please, i.e. when you use USB 2.0 with the Stream Edition, is there an extra option to select 1080p at 30fps, or is it a case of that the 1080p at 60fps is still utilised, but the output is limited to 30fps?

Thanks and all the best

@Robert - because sometimes my internet is not so strong where I am, and streaming at 60fps uses a fair bit more bandwidth, so to have smooth video I will have to use 30fps when the connection is not good enough for 60fps.

About Windows Hello on the Stream Edition, you can do that with a firmware update ( LogiBrioStreamFWUpdate_1.3.14.exe
), which you can find here: https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=23&v_code=61543&v_langue=en

@Robert - that is an official Logitech driver, just hosted on a third party site. It is also available on the Logitech website, if you search hard enough!

Yes this discussion is in regards to the Logitech Brio Pro 4K vs. Logitech Brio Stream Edition

It is also possible to make a frankenstein-type firmware update by merging the latest Brio Pro 4K firmware, with the Brio Stream Edition firmware, as the latest Brio Pro 4K firmware is March 2022, whereas the Brio Stream Edition only got its last firmware update in 2019.

By merging the two, you can also correct some auto-focus issues I believe, as well as some other issues.

Hi, this is one of the best discussions regarding Brio differences i found in the web, ! :)

@Kurt2022: can you please provide more info how to use Brio Pro firmware in Brio Stream to solve the auto-focus issues? Logitech is not releasing bugfixes for Brio stream anymore :(

Thank you in advance,
