Logitech Customer Support

Well I received by G9x from logitech, not sure about it. It will take some getting used to as it has a lower profile to my G5 and I've got quite large hands.

But you can change the colour of the DPI indicator which well quite frankly......................unnecessary lol.

Cant knock their CS.

Got a reply from Logitech today regarding my MX Revolution double clicking when pressed once.

They have told me to disable the single click to open option in XP!?! I was clear that it was a hardware problem and a common one at that.

Looks like I will be going back to a MS mouse.

I've had a reply this morning from a lady on their customer service with the issue I posted about above. After describing the issue and the steps I have taken to over come it, she has come back with:

1) Try just using the USB stick in a different USB port, not with extension cable.

(I'd already stated I'd done this many times and the extension cable helped for a while before not helping)

2) Press the connect button on the receiver and on the keyboard and mouse.

(No issues with my MS USB Wired KB, just the MX Revolution...which doesn't have connect/reset buttons on either the mouse or receiver

3) Try using a different computer to see if it works.

(Fair suggestion, but I have fully detailed that it is intermittent and only mainly happens when gaming)

Either way I've tested it all and am going to email them back now and ask what else they suggest I do. I just want to test a different receiver tbh.

Thought it only right that I should update after my last post.

Received a brand spanking new Performance MX in the post today to replace my MX Revolution.

Thanks Logitech :)

I got a replacement for my DFP in the end - a Driving Force GT since the DFP has been long discontinued. The DFGT is SO much better than the DFP though, surprising really. I can now play all my games without any issue, including GRID, DiRT etc, that never worked well with the DFP. Maybe there was something wrong with it from the start, I don't know.

i had a old wireless keyboard that stoped working, emailed them and they dont make it any more, so they offered me a choice of replacements, so just waiting for a G19 to come though the post, :-)

I have also had a replacement MX Revolution sent which arrived on Monday. Due to reasons that I posted above.

Didn't ask for pics with it not working, nothing. I just told the support lady I'd done all the troubleshooting and it was still acting up...next thing I know I'm being asked my address shipping details and a few days later it was here!

GG Logitech!

Shame it used to be fun coming up with original ways of destroying things. I always wanted my keyboard to fail then I could have mocked up a picture with my mate like in "Wanted"

True, although this means I can use the old one at work now :)

It works fine in desktop 95% of the time but needs to be high on charge or it buckles a lot more. My main gripe is that when I was gaming (no matter the circumstances) it seemed to go pretty ballistic/erratic.

Good support from Logitech though, I'm definitely going to consider their products in future a lot more now.

Random request, anyone got pics of a smashed up G15/G19 and information on how they smashed it up.. Wondering how robust they..or not...

I would have thought a hammer or something similar would do the job?

According to MRK, if they ask to see pictures of a faulty device in "non working order" they also get you to include a post-it note with your support REF included so they know it's yours :)

Robust or not, most things plastic will break under force from a hammer :)

hmm didn't know they were so good I have a broken G7 here that doesn't connect I've sent them a support email, maybe a new mouse will be on its way :)

Ive got to chime in also and say what a fantastic service.

When I spilled beer on my g15 v1 for the tenth time too many times I was resigned to losing a great keyboard. I never new how good a keyboard it was until I replaced it with a lycosa nice looking keyboard but meh.

I decided to phone up before reading this thread (really) and enquire about repairs. I was ecstatic to hear that even though i am out of warranty I am been sent a replacement keyboard.

Absolutely fantastic service that will keep me buying Logitech.
