Logitech Driving Force GT = Wow

my desk is 28mm laminated ply with 60x60mm solid legs it ain't going nowhere takes 2 people to move it so it's very solid. My old microsoft 360 wheel i had on a coffee table about the size of the wheel one day when i was playing i hit a wall and the force feedback lifted the table off the ground LOL.

I think some wheels are pretty good i just shaved 2.3 seconds of my fastest joypad time on GT5 prologue. Also just tried the NFSS demo and that is very good. had to set force feedback to 35% tho as 100% was killing my hand after 2 laps just trying to keep hold of the thing. Awesome bit of kit tho for the price

I remember the good old days of the original Driver, my mates used to come over to mine to play it and we only stopped for breaks when it started to smell like something burning, we ragged the wheel so much :D My desk was a little home made project with left over kitchen worktop and was as solid as you get and you could literally stand and dance on it without it shifting.

Picked one of these up for £25 at work half price, it's an awesome wheel for the money. It's a lot better quality than it looks. Only used it on the GT5 demo and a bit of Dirt 2. It's currently gathering dust waiting for GT5 to come out!

There seems to be an e-tailer selling at £64 inc vat, google driving force gt and look through the shopping results. Not sure how good the shop is.

They all seem out of stock :(

Was loads of stock a few weeks ago when I looked.

Edit: Still tempted by the G27 on OcUK - a very good price (well, for the G27 anyway!).

I might just go for the one on amazon... it says "platform: PS3" on amazon although some reviews on the site claim it works on PC...can anyone confirm that even though it says platform PS3 it can work on PC too? cheers!

Logitech supply drivers to allow it to work on the PC, they can be downloaded from their website. It is marketed as a PS3 accessory as it was originally designed as such, however heavy demand from customers prompted Logitech to make some pretty damn good drivers for use with the PC.

right.. cheers! :)

I got one of these on RMA replacement for my failing DFP. I can't express how much better it is than the DFP, it's much more like the G25. The feedback is strong, but also more detailed, and the larger wheel feels a lot better to use. Pedal feel is similar, if a little more robust. The extra buttons are useful, but the red dial can't be used on PC the last time I tried. Logitech may write this into the PC drivers yet though.

If you can't justify the cost of the G25/G27, this is an ideal purchase.

just don't have the spring set at over 50% unless you wait a weight lose session :O
