Decided to treat myself to a new wheel and pedals set and purchased the G27 a few minutes ago.

Coming from a Drift O.Z I think It'll be a good upgrade, any owners care to share some insight? Is the setup easy etc?

And one last thing, how many USB ports does it take up?

One USB port. Got mine yesterday and really pleased with it. Just make sure the rotation is set to the full 900 degrees once the drivers are installed.

love, mine, upgraded the brake spring since stock one is meh.

Are you going to be using a mount or attaching to desk/table?

profiler lets you tailor the settings for each game or globally.

I managed to get mine second hand with a stand for £140, only thing is I haven't used it that much as I have a backlog of games, wait till F1 2014 arrives though :P

Had a G25 for many years and it served me well. For anyone with a wheel, who enjoys PC racing sims, it's definitely worth considering Assetto Corsa if you haven't looked into that already. It's early access (now edging towards final release which will include multiplayer) but is very polished and provides a very rich driving experience with top notch force feedback and rewards proper driving technique.

For that matter, if you've made a sizable investment already by buying a wheel, in addition to the other more well known sims, Game Stock Car Extreme is also worth checking out.
