Logitech G5 users

Yep i upgraded the firmware on mine to 1.2 about a year ago, currently use an ocz behemoth pad, very smooth combination.
 
the scroll wheel is crap from the very beginning on the G5, so you don't have a dodgy one.

i use no weights at all :)

also ive used the razer exactmat for years, and it works very well/is an ok size.
 
i've had a g5 since january and a Steelseries S&S which has now worn out, I do find it so much more difficult to be accurate with this g5 compared to my mx518.

Anyone bother using glide pads with their G5 ?
 
I ended up uninstalling the logitech drivers, i just couldnt the mouse to feel right for some reason.

Think I might go for a razor mat this time then.
 
I've just swapped out my ageing G5 v2 for a G500, use a Steelseries SX mousemat and both have be perfect on it.

Had two 4.5's in iirc although i haven't use the G500 with weights yet.
 
I do think the weights does not really make that much difference but I have mine full of heavy ones as I like the feel of it. Used a very nice steel series, but due to working on PC's for about 10-16 hours every day for the last 10 years plus had to switch to something with some wrist support. This completely solved me lying awake and night with pain and I can say that the mouse has any worse performance in this harder surface.

Never experienced any of the accuracy problems other people have experienced and I have used a fair number of mice over the years.
