For the mouse I just got the back and forward work but not automatically.

I have to manually press back on forward on a browser, such as firefox or even in windows explorer e.g going through hard drive files.

When I manually press back and forward on the browser the mouse then 'detects the window' it then works.

When I alt tab and focus on the window (i.e click elsewhere but not forward/back) it still doesn't auto detect and I have to manually go back and forward

How can i fix this

Are you on the latest firmware it was released on Monday? If you click on the default profile are the back and forward buttons assigned?

It seems the back/forward work on the window the cursor is currently over, regardless of what is in focus.

My G502 back/forwards on whatever the cursor is hovering over rather than what is in focus.

Have you tried this on another computer system?

If yes and still issue,

Call up logitech support? They will either walk you through a guide to resolve it or ask you to return it to shop\return to them for repair\replacement.
