I used to have one of the older models of the Logitech G502 until it finally died recently. Since then I've been using a cheap wireless mouse which is nowhere near as good.

Is the Logitech G502 Lightspeed worth the cost if you want to play games like World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online and various Total War games? £110 on OCUK which seems a bit steep for a mouse but if it is really good then I could be convinced to spend the money.

I've been using mine to play FPS games and in particular Valheim recently, it's great and i love it with the added addition of no longer having to have a wire attached. Battery life is great too, will last a good 3-4 days with heavy use and only takes a good 30 odd minutes for a full charge. I got mine from elsewhere though when it was on offer for £85, couldn't resist! I also came from the older wired G502 mouse but it hadn't died, the rubber on the sides were just heavily worn out.

Having tried some other brands, i decided to go back to what i felt most comfortable with.

Go for the wireless version now it can only get better as I intend to do this as my G502 is getting old and the cable is doing my head in.

Ocuk matt is good used it with my G502, just bought a corsair m300 pro extended got it for a great price.

I’ve just purchased the G502 LS

Any recommendations on a mat/surface to pair it with? Mainly play Warzone :)

Thanks

There's actually a Logitech Lightspeed mouse mat that supplies power to the mouse as you use it so you never need to put it on charge. It's a pretty nice piece of kit if you can find it in stock anywhere, would recommend checking a review or two.

I'm not a huge fan of mine.

For the most part it's fine, but mines developing an issue with double clicks on a single actuation. Whcih is annoying when either playing minecraft (extra blocks places) or any fps when sights are toggles via a single right click.

Is it in warranty?

It seems to be a crapshoot as to whether or not people will have this issue, it's semi-common with the G402 and G502 from what I've read but neither myself or two of my friends have had that issue over the 2-3 years we've owned our mice.

I will say that potential issues aside, the G502 is one of the best mice I've ever owned.

I'm going to try my luck on with amazon, see if they'll issue a replacement

Is it worth it? depends how much you value wireless i guess. If it's gotta be wireless, it's worth it. If you don't mind a cable, the Hero is much better VFM (and not braided and annoying like the original g502).

Personally speaking any issues I had with cable drag were solved with a £5 mouse bungee, so I'm quite happy to stick with the considerably cheaper wired versions of mice for the foreseeable future.

My other half got me a G502 Lightspeed for my birthday, her thinking the more expensive it is the better it is .

It's the worst mouse I've ever owned. The things I dislike about it:

- It's too small for my hand in terms of width and height. My little finger drags across the mouse surface (hate this) and my palm doesn't cup the mouse properly leading to pain. I persevered with it thinking it was just a change in ergonomics but the mouse is just too flat for me. I'm more of a Logitech MX mouse guy.
- The mouse wheel is obnoxiously loud clunk-clunk-clunk. The button to switch it to freewheel mode is just as bad. If I'm using the wheel a lot and switching between modes it become tedious as you have to move your hand position or curl your finger backward impossibly so to reach the button.
- The battery life is poor. I'm not one for RBG but didn't turn it off out of the box which led to only 24 hours of battery life after a full charge. Turning off all the xmas lights conserved battery somewhat but now I just leave it plugged in so I don't some back to a dead mouse.
- The software is slow to load. When Windows boots up it seems the software (to set the DPI) is quite a few programs behind the load sequence so it means a really slow laggy mouse at the beginning of OS loading. This is maddening.

I didn't want to appear to be a selfish git and ask her to return it so persevered with it but I just can't get on with it. Time for a new MX type mouse and she can have this rat or put it in the bin.

I have had/have a G903 (d/click issues and mouse wheel slack and useless), now have a G903 LS (bit of a misnomer they are both Light Speed but one is the newer Hero sensor).

I did not activate my PowerPlay charging this time to condition the battery so fully charged it when I got the mouse on the 25th March (connected it to PC on 26th) and it still has 22 hours left so something is now right with that above G502 (Hero Sensor) getting 24hours even with RGB.

I never got around to buying this due to money issues but now I'm back on the lookout for a new mouse. It is interesting what people have said about this mouse in the thread so far.
