K, I have a Razer Deathadder 2014 (or whatever ) and did not like it.
I hat a RAT 5 and the feel of the click form the buttons I love but everything else is a bit meh and the strange feeling of the off centre cable is a complete waster. I'm quite sensitive to the feel/weight of the cable and that off centre nonsense just kills me.
I have my good old intellimouse that is unfortunately in gaming mice retirement home.
I also have a Sensei pro, don't like it, though I have stuck with it for the past 2 years. I feel it has a strange off shoot problem where the cursor on screen just glides that bit out of synch from how I think it should feel; if that makes sense.

I have an old Logitech MX518 which I never could get to grips with, despite the hype that surrounded it at the time.
So I'm looking to buy a new mouse and I'm hoping it will arrive when my wife is at work as she will go spare at me buying yet another gaming peripheral ! :D

I was looking at the Zowie mice as they seemed to fit the bill, good optical sensor which my next mouse must have and seems to be ergonomically on side as I have a strange hybrid palm and claw grip with the claw being predominant.

So I was kind of all set on the FK1 or FK2 until I read about the Logitech G502 Proteus Core.

So, after that long winded piece of garbage I just wrote...what's the opinions on the Logitech G502 Proteus Core ? I like the look of it and it seems to offer an array of useful features and buttons.

Zowie or Logitech G502 Proteus Core ?

Help me decide.

I have a G502, I love it, has a nice shape and feel, the sensors great, and you can pretty much adjust everything about the mouse (e.g. weight, sensitivity, buttons).

I've had no real issues with the mouse wheel, you can slightly feel each notch as you scroll, but its still pretty smooth, which is nice for scrolling through things like webpages, but I find I use fast scroll a lot more which is awesome for scrolling through really large things really quickly. It also has left/right scroll

I disliked most of the things about the g502 apart how nice the sensor & mouse buttons were, the sniper button is very annoying as it's where I like to rest my thumb there. Personally the shape was not good for me since i have rather large hand so made my hand ache and my pinky finger drag along my mousemat. I found the mouse wheel really rough/not natural feeling while in notch and while in free scroll it goes far too quickly to be that usable for me also the material of the scroll wheel felt cheap. I would just order it from a large company then return it if you don't like it.

I have a G502. The comments I'd make on it are:
- Heavier than any other mouse I've used. No idea why you would want to add MORE weights to it. I run mine empty.
- The mouse wheel is louder than other mice when scrolling also, and like mjones1 said, very fast in free scroll.

Have a look at the Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex. I've owned this mouse for a couple of months now and have nothing but high praise for it. Nice weight and feel to it, works superb on my cloth 'precision' mouse mat.

I don't know if it was just mine or its standard, but everytime you swipe the mouse right/left you can feel the scrollwheel touch the side of its slot (im guessing because of the scroll left/right function), I use a low sens and it was aggravating after like 5mins, returned it.

Got the G402 instead, prefer it (also lighter).

You'd probably be best to try and try out both before deciding, since mice are so down to individual opinion and what is good for others is not necessarily the same for you!
