Hey!

So i've had a G7 Wireless mouse for about 3 months now, but all of a sudden, today the cursor has started juddering/skipping etc!

Basically... To give you some idea...

If you move the mouse from left to right fast... Instead of the cursor moving left to right smoothly, it does it, but occasionally skips and jerks about a bit.

It's almost like something is loading, which you'd accept... However, nothing is loading lol!

I tried turning it on/off, removing battery trying again, still does it.
Even a system reboot as I thought it was something to do with windows.

Im now using a wired mouse, and it's not doing it, so I have to assume it is definately the mouse at fault.

There is no Setpoint drivers installed either so it's not that.

RMA time I guess!

Im gonna go for the new G5 I think!
I had an MX518 before this, and that was fantastic.

Very strange, I haven't heard of that before. Is it possible there is something on the lens? Other than that you are probably going to have to RMA it but Logitech are meant to be pretty good at sorting things out anyway. :)

Hi SeanyK

Did you RMA it?

I've got the same problem with mine, I tried it with and without setpoint but no joy.

Strangely, mine has also started to do it, within the last 2 weeks (I was away for a month before this, but noticed it when I came back 2 weeks ago).

I was hoping maybe it was a software problem.

I got mine at Christmas in UK - but I live in China, so could be a bit of a problem to RMA?

The more this happens, the less I think it's hardware. It is like the cursor disappears for a second, as the OP said, as if something is loading in the background.

If I move the cursor from the right side of the screen to the left side, the cursor would disappear somewhere in the middle, as if it was passing behind something, but when it appears again, it is where it should be had this not happened.

It doesn't happen that frequently for me, maybe once or twice every few minutes, but it is frustrating.

I might try to use another computer with this mouse to see if it happens on that one.

same problem

I had the same problem. I think I have now tracked it to being interference from an old wireless card in one of my other PCs. I only noticed a day or two ago that I only get the issue when 1 of 2 conditions are met :

1 - the older PC is on.
2 - I am loading a program that causes the CPU to spike to 100%.

Anyone else running other wireless products on the same freq that could check ?

logitech are quality at rma's. i got another g15 and 3D pro joystick from them :)

everyone did it with the g15s and said the paint from the key was wearing out :p

this used started happening to mine awhile ago, but since i've moved my room around its stop so i think its to do with interference

Glad I got a G5.

Some of the keys on my G15 do seem to have specs of black paint missing, the blue glow makes this ever more noticeable, is it worth RMA'ing because of this though as its not to bad at the moment?
