Logitech G9 or Microsoft Sidewinder ?

Good lord, the g9 looks horrific. Like something from 1960. I'd be embarassed to be seen with one of those on my desk. :p What were logitech thinking? Going from the sleek ergonomic design of the g7 to that pos.

EDIT - The same applies the sidewinder.

Don't spend so much money on a mouse. It's not the dpi of the mouse that makes matters. It's the skill of the player. ;)

Well I have a crappy Dell usb optical mouse now :)
So time will tell if I get the G9, new Razer or Sidewinder.

The battery change on the G7 just annoyed me. Great mouse other then that.
Black one looks nicest.
 
Well I have used them both and love them both. That being said the Sidewinder is somewhat big but I'm comfortable with it. The G9 is also an amazing mouse. I like the look of it but some don't. It's a matter of preferences. If you prefer a big mouse go with the Sidewinder, otherwise go with the G9. You can't go wrong either way.

How do the G9 and Sidewinder do in terms of tracking? Have you ever managed to make either skip?
 
OMG what have logitech done to their mouse line, No offence but that thing looks fugly

Although the Logitech is less appealing that the others LT have done it is a lot better looking than that thing MS is selling lol.
