Well 1 key on my Harmony One number pad (Key #2) has, well not died, it works intermittently, but its so hard to get it to work now (just luck not pressure). I've tried removing the battery for a while, I'll try an update/reflash of the thing in a bit too, but chances are its pretty much gone. Out of warranty too (will email them anyway see what they can do and maybe see if they can repair if anything at all).
Firstly, anyone know if it's easy to replace? Where I might source a button? It feels fine, seems to press as normal and it clicks, just very few times it will actually work.
Secondly, whats a good replacement. The One+ looks exactly the same and the 900 seems the same yet expensive (I know, RF, but I don't need that! Although the coloured buttons are good addition!) The 1100 looks nice. I decided agaisnt something like that before in favour of physical buttons I could press by touch alone, but then since its mostly screen based its a lot less prone to a small problem like this. Chances are its all or nothing (although thats a massive problem in itself if one fails). Or perhaps another manufacturer altogether...
Is there any alternatives I could use on my iPad or Android phone that are good alternatives? If it requires a bridge device thats fine.
Cheers guys!
