Logitech Mouse issues in Ventrilo

Its not a bug its a feature

Well its annoying whatever it is,

i have the MX400 mouse, and i was hoping to use one of the side buttons as the push to talk activator in Ventrilo.

I can tell vent to use that button, ie i click on it in the right space and it says mouse button 4 for push to talk.

But then when i use vent and push that mouse button nothing happens. So there is something not working and im at a loss to know what it is. If i use a keyboard button its fine so its not an issue with vent or the mic.

Any advice gratefuly received.

You could have a fiddle with the settings in setpoint, e.g. try changing the function of button 4

I had a problem using vent with wow, turned out it couldn't intercept mouse button presses when it didnt have screen focus unless both it and wow were run with administrator privileges. Might not be the same issue as your having, it sounds like your testing it from outside the game?

yeah from outside the game, its definatly a mouse/mouse softwear issue.

I had an issue with a microsoft mouse years ago where the scroll button wasnt set to do the standard action when pushed, so games didnt realise that it was trying to be pressed. Ill see if i can find anything else where, these forums are always my first port of call though
