Logitech Mouse/Keyboard problems

I've been using a Logitech MX518 for years and its my preferred mouse. But since using it on a new Sandybridge 2600K Asus Mobo combination I feel that its pausing briefly on scrolling and mouse clicks.

It could be Win7 64bit affecting it also. I'm not sure. So unless anyone has any suggestions what would you suggest as a replacement that is very similar in feel.

An additional thing I'm noticing is I seem to be missing key presses when typing on my Logitech Media Keyboard (wired) Key presses don't register all of the time.

I dont use setpoint drivers. Both mouse and keyboard worked fine in my previous system using a LGA775 Mobo on WinXP 32bit.

Are there settings within Win7 64bit that may make a difference to the problems I'm having?

Both are wired and use the PS2 ports not USB

Call up logitech and explain the problem, their CS is second to none and will very likely offer you a huge discount on a new product or even a free replacement.

I 'll try to contact them but won't they just say that I should use the set point software and that its not their problem but something with the system, etc.

have you not got access to another setup that you can test them both on? or even another kb/mouse to test with your current computer. if they were working fine before changing over to sandybridge, although not impossible itd be highly unlikely that both peripherals would develop a fault simultaneously. could possibly be a motherboard/port/driver issue or something.

Yes I'm going to try a brand new unopened Logitech keyboard and MX518 I have stored at my office tonight.

I will try those first before I contact Logitech.
