Evening all,
Does anyone know if there's a way to make a logitech mouse function like a normal one when it comes to scrolling?

Since i got this classic MX1000 (awesome mouse) as a pressie a few months back, its been winding me right up!
One click of the scroll on google maps zooms right in/out and when scrolling a page its painfully slow with tons of scrolling.
If i adjust either the acceleration or number of lines to scroll, it makes it worse!

Any ideas?

Thanks.

What should be in the software?
As said, the "normal" settings for this sort of thing has been adjusted, to no effect.

Have you checked the mouse settings in control panel aswel?

I've just been doing some testing and I can't seem to emulate your problem with settings in SetPoint and Control Panel. I can make it scroll massivly slow, or massivly fast but this had no effect on google maps.

Sorry for being no help!

Have you tried deleting the Logitech software & using the generic driver, I've not bothered with Logitech software for years now & have always run a Logitech mouse.

I installed the setpoint on my g5 just before xmas....2 days later i deleted it and went back to generic drivers....much better...

Setpoint was recently replaced with the Logitech GProfiler Software, At least it was for the G500, and it is a great improvement. Remove Setpoint, get GProfiler :)

Setpoint is listed as a late 2012 download for the MX 1000....

Gonna try removing set point in a while.

Removed it, a lot better now, just like it was before!

Only problem is the extra buttons don't work. Tried sharpkeys, it doesn't pick them up. :(

The option to use os implementation has always been present in setpoint so you can use the generic windows driver and retain the customisable buttons.

I've just reinstalled Windows (now on 8) and apparently there are issues with the latest version of SetPoint (6.51), certainly in Windows 8 - my scrolling barely worked at all in Chrome.

I uninstalled 6.51 and installed 6.32 and everything is as it was in Windows 7. :)
