Hey,

My Logitech MX Revolution mouse is starting to... well lets say i want to
open the window and say goodbye. Any way i have the chance to buy the same mouse
for a quater of the price of a new one, but i comes with no dock
or reciver and was wondering the new mouse would work with the old reciver i have??

Thanks for any help

Sean

Has that changed recently as I had my MX Revolution replaced the other year and I had to return the old receiver to Logitech but kept the faulty mouse (charging issues) which did not work with the new receiver.

I have a MX Revolution but I didn't get a docking station :(. Before you throw it away or sell it make sure you save the battery, you never know when it will come in handy.

ORRR

You could RMA it to Logitech they are normally very good at replacing faulty items.

AND

About the receiver Logitech have a newish format it is called 'unifying' here is a sample:

"The Logitech Unifying receiver is a tiny wireless receiver that can stay plugged into your notebook’s USB port and lets you easily connect up to six compatible wireless mice and keyboards to the same receiver. There’s no need to unplug it when you move around, so you won’t have to worry about losing it."

Pretty good IMO :).

There were two versions of the MX Revolution, which have slightly different receivers. To my knowledge none of the MX Revs ever used a unifiying receiver, and I don't believe they are compatible with it.
