Hi all, I currently have a Logitech MX518 mouse. I am really happy with it, had it for years and its still great but would like more buttons I can configure in games.
What would you guys suggest as a replacement?

I had a G5 for over 10 years and loved it, but yeah, felt it could use more buttons.

I went with a G600S. It's a bit chunkier in your hand, but the extra keypad on the side is fantastic once you get used to it.

Well priced too (got mine for £40)

If you want it for MMOs - G600
If you want it for other types - Logitech G700S, or the old Steelseries Cataclysm WoW mouse. Possibly the CM Storm Inferno.

MMO mice tend to have all the buttons under the one digit (thumb), so you either get very creative and dextrous, or just use one at a time.

The latter have far better placement for rapid, multi-button functions and it's much easier to hit the right ones during times of duress, such as trying to reload and run and turn and jump and while being shot at.

It depends I suppose how many more buttons you want and how you hold a mouse.

I went from a G5 via a few others including a G700, G602, Razer Naga and a couple of Roccats but currently I'm using a G502.

The way you hold a mouse is important as for example I didn't get on with the Razer Naga as the way I grip a mouse my thumb rests on the side of the mouse and is the main control force so I was always pressing down on the buttons when I moved the mouse. If you use more of a palm grip I'm sure the Naga and its ilk are fine.

I went from a Logitech MX518 to a Roccat Nyth last year
More buttons than you can shake a stick at and all interchangeable, add buttons /take them away,2 side grip pieces
Gotta admit i played around with diff configs of buttons then not changed any for months :)

The Nyth is one of the Roccats I have. I really liked its removable buttons but just didn't find it as comfortable as the G502. Maybe I'll have to give it another go.
