Any1 got one?

Ive been on pre order for months and finally its gone thru today (not from OCUK unfortunately) however i can still cancel.

Ive had MX1000 and MX revolution previously so i hope this one is better especially as its £80 :(

First reviews on forums say there are SetPoint issues does any1 know first hand in the UK whether theirs are fully functional and worth the upgrade?

want to know if i can still control media and volume with it...

Thanks in advance

Even if there are setpoint issues It'll be fixed in a couple of weeks via a driver update, probably

I was looking into getting one but weighed it up and I can't justify it

i coudldnt justify it either however ive sold my MX rev a while back now in anticipation of getting this. UK release has kept being pushed back...typical of my luck. during that time ive been using one of those free Dell mice.

Main reason for upgrading was due to the Rev skipping on my new table which i was dumbfounded by as its not glass. perhaps for the first time im getting interference from it as ive also moved house so desk is in different location etc etc. anyway will be nice to see how the Performance MX compares

I'll add to this thread rather than making another one?

Here goes

Well I recieved my Perforamce Mouse MX under warranty because my 2nd MX Revolution failed after 11 months of use, it would no longer hold a charge. 1st mouse was also a MX Revolution with a similar problem. All in all, the MX Revolution gets a 6.5/10 rating from me.

So this new Performance Mouse MX is my 3rd mouse in approx 3.5 years?

1st impressions;

I noticed the Performance Mouse now uses a removable rechargeable AA battery (Sanyo) - To charge this mouse you can use the mains or usb cable via PC. Also Charge it while you use it! which is awesome!
The mouse feets are beefier
The new application switch is much nicer than for the MX Revolution. I think I will actually use this one.

Downside: The back and forward web page buttons are in the most awkard positions, its above the new zoom button, so on a normal MX Revolution you would just twitch your thumb upwards to go back or forward, but now on the Performance MX you need to lift your thumb over the zoom to press back or forward. This takes some getting used to.

Any other questions just ask here....

Well I thought I might as well add my views on the Performance MX too. Had mine a month now. This is the best Logi mouse I've ever used. No problems at all with setpoint on Vista 32bit. As Mr.Bon has said, the new back/forward button positions take some getting use to. The mouse feels comfortable to use, well made, and the new unifying receiver is a nice touch too. I bought a K350 keyboard as well, to free up a USB port ;)

Oh and credit to Logitech for using a replaceable, rechargeable AA battery in this mouse. Can't justify spending £80/90 on a mouse which will only last 3 years before the (non-replaceable) battery dies :(

Ah yes, I am thinking about buying the Logitech S510 keyboard&mouse set (i just want the keyboard) - I haven't gotten around to researching if that keybaord will connect to my unifying usb receiver.
If it does then my brother can have the s510 mouse and receiver so its not wasted :)

It won't connect, only the new stuff from Logitech will work with the Unifying adaptor, not any pre-existing hardware. The only Unifying keyboards atm are K340 and K350. The K350 is just a wireless Wave keyboard with a curve design. Quite nice to use actually ;)

Mouse is starting to annoy me! From the very beginning i noticed a 'nasty cheap click' type noise thats not supposed to be there when i click it, obviously due to poor build quality or something. but its the back button that does this when it hasnt been clicked for a little while.... :(

send it back then? I feel its much the same quality as the MX Rev tbh. think u have a duff one. Perf MX battery life is appalling. lasts 4-5 days. good job u can charge whilst using it!

Hey,... I've told logitech about the problem with my new performance mouse mx and they have sent me ANOTHER replacement mouse, this time I was given the G500 gaming mouse as they didnt have the P'Mouse MX in stock.

Also, my performance mouse mx batteries lasted 11 days....

Had my Logitech Performance MX Mouse now for 1 week , i can say best mouse ive ever had , i little niggle is the battery led does not come on much to show you how much battery you have left

Sorry to revive this old thread but I've got the Performance MX and it seems a bit inaccurate in comparison to my old MX518. Maybe I'm still just getting used to it though. Would anyone who has this mouse recommend a mouse mat, I'm hoping it might help.

Just got this mouse. Been using a logitech g7 for the past 3 years. Had to upgrade due to the g7 having a fault in the left click button.

First impressions of this mouse, it looks great, feels great and works great.

It might be a lot of money but the mouse is what you use the most when using your computer. Its worth investing in.
