Logitech Performance MX?

thanks mate. I already saw that pics, and it looks like the thumb buttons are placed a bit further in the performance MX (according to references like the wheel and to bottom of the mouse)

As I use a claw grip, maybe the thumb buttons are harder to reach in my case, but I think you will know better as you had access to both models :P g700 also looks a bit lighter and smaller, but I don't know if it's noticeable or not... And the battery life seems longer in the MX...

Thanks again!

Coming from the MX1000 to the Performance MX the forward and back buttons took a bit of getting use to, as they are quite a bit higher up on the Performance MX

I still perfer the Logitech MX1000 as I dont think the MX Rev or Performace MX comes anywhere close, accept for the wheel,

Now a MX1000 with Hyper fast scrolling, would be the best mouse ever made in my opinion. God the mx 1000 was a awsome mouse, then it slowly went down the pan for the MX series.

The MX1000 truly is. I'm still using mine from 2005. Soldered the wires onto a new battery a year ago or so. It was barely lasting a day.

Khodos,
Had a look at both mice together and weighed them both.
Weights are as follows;
G700: 131g
MX: 145g
As you can see theres very little in it, i couldnt physically feel any difference between the two hold each in my hand. Both have the Logitech smooth glide 'feet' so both as super smooth to use (mouse surface dependent obviously).
I took some comparison pictures for you too to see the differences (although theres not much).

As you can see the only major difference is the indentation where your thumb will sit, with it being more defined/deeper on the MX.

Anything else or any other pics you want mate?

Yeah I bought mine when they released the mx1000 and had about 2-3 more mx1000s over the yrs as they all developed the double clicking problem. It was the first laser mouse made and what a amazing mouse it was.

I so wish you could still buy them new, as I would sell/bin the performance MX without thinking about it.
