I probably should have posted about this here as it's to do with hardware.
Below is the thread I made about my DFGT. My question is this. Everyone, or most people, say they get replacement products sent out and still get to keep their original product. While I don't mind either way, I'm curious if logitech changed their policy? I've never rma'd a logitech product before. At the end of an email by the logitech rep, he says "After we receive the required pictures, we can arrange free pick of your product." I wonder if that means they're going to collect it, or if it means they're going to pick a new one from their warehouse without me sending mine back?

from what i understand from RMAing my KB and M with logitech, if they have noticed a design flaw, they try to call in all those models - if it is just a manufacturing defect and no particular bad batch/design flaw then they dont bother

it is probably a lot cheaper to just let you keep the old one as shipping it to the netherlands with cost a lot

Why don't you just send them the photographs and information like they asked?

Once you've done that presumably you'll get an e-mail saying they've sent a new one out, or that they're arranging to have the old one picked up, or both of these.

I'll wait to see what the rep says tomorrow. I emailed him back earlier to say I can't do without the wheel for any time, and I don't know if they're immediately going to send me a new one do I.

I had a Logitech mouse & keyboard LX710 for 4 years & the mouse started double clicking. I liked the mouse so I looked for another to buy & noticed it had a 5 year warranty. I then contacted customer support online & they emailed me asking for my telephone number. Within 10 mins I received a call and was told a replacement set would be sent out immediately. 5 days later I received a new MK710 mouse/keyboard combo & I kept my old one. Fantastic RMA service from Logitech. Hope you get similar service. This was 2 months ago.

They were going to arrange an exchange for my G19 so the courier takes my old one and gives me a new one but due to time constraints I said i could only send it myself but logitech said it was okay and sent me a new one :p

I've had a similar problem with numerous versions of the same mouse, after originally sending me out one and letting me keep the other. They now want to send me the old one back which I'm fine with seeing as I have 2 sets of them!

I asked that they didn't just replace the mouse as I've had 3 go faulty so they said once they've collected my old keyboard and mouse they'll give me £90 voucher to spend in the store!

Another happy ending story from Logitech
