I have had the MX518 for about 4months and the decrease sensitivity button has stopped working. Has anyone had a similar problem or RMA'd a Logitech product?

Logitech are generally awesome when it comes to their warranty, so long as they still make the product. Contact them.

I phoned Logitech when my G5 broke. They gave me an RMA number, and told me to take 2 pictures of the mouse - one with the cord snipped, and one with it destroyed - and to make sure the RMA number was included in the shots. Once they were sent off, a new mouse was sent to me free of charge.

Seriously cannot complement them enough.

when i contacted them about replacing my mx3100 desktop combo i think, i had to send it back to them. I couldnt be bothered in the end as it was only my mouse thumb buttons that had stopped working.

I had to cut the cord off and send the mouse back. They supplied an envelope to do it too (Their firmware flash borked it). I think it may be acting up as its started only moving diagonally. on and off. Will wait a week or 2 and see if it keeps happening.

did you have a reciept of when you bought it, as i couldnt find mine but logitech said they could do it from serial number or something.

Just wondering if thats why i was asked to send mine back

If Carling were a company they would be Logitech - their support is that good...

ps3ud0

Bit of a thread resurrection and an FAO for khemist - how come you had to RMA your edge?

Mine is playing up atm, the glide pad intermittently works. Have sent them an RMA request, awaiting a reply. In the meantime considering the best way to destroy my current KB.

I'm thinking "keep it simple" - run it through a band saw. :)

A single key had become loose and a little bit had snapped off so it couldn't be stuck back on so they made me smash the thing up before i got a replacement.

I leaned it against a wall and jumped on it a few times, couldn't snap it though. :)

I sent the 2nd pic to logitech first but they wanted it smashed up more because they thought i had just taken the keys off ( i had actually been hitting it with a hammer).

Sold the replacement when i got it and went back to a g15... i think it only had taken a few days for me to get the replacement so it was quick.
