Hi

Thinking about getting a 2nd hand g25 wheel, but as not everyone keeps their receipt(s), i just wondered if anyone here has had exeprience with claming on their warranty with Logitech, without a proof of purchase?.

thanks
joe

Logitech pc gaming devices have a crappy 1 year warranty and you will need proof of purchase to verify if you are entitled to a replacement.

Unless you are getting it silly cheap or you know for sure its in a1 condition I wouldn’t bother going 2nd hand with a decent wheel like the g25.

I've always found Logitech's replacement policy to be amongst the best but maybe that only applies to keyboards/mice.............

Its not a case of whether their replacement policy is good or not, like any manufacturer they need proof of purchase otherwise they have no idea when it was bought and whether it is still eligible for their warranty support.

Keyboards and mice have a hefty 5 year warranty unless they are a gaming orientated keyboard or mouse then the warranty drops to as low as 1 year warranty.

I have no problems RMA'ing via the website all they ask is your serial number and they send you a replacement.

They know the approximate purchase date from the serial number. Never asked for my proof of purchase when they replaced my G5. Thats not to say they wont ask for yours . . . .

I've RMA'd something with no proof of purchase and the serial number half rubbed off.

They've got fantastic customer support IMO.
