Logitech z-5500 replacements

So logitech are shipping me a new set, and requested I snip the remot cable and power cable and send them to them (off my old set) obviously leaving them dead...

Has anyone just.. not sent them back? Or is it not wise too...

i think that's standard logitech policy. If they send you a new set then you cut the cables for the main parts and send it to them. Just think the speakers will still be working, and the sub will be there too. Sell the bits as spares

pretty standard logitech process...

When my wireless keyboard died they asked me cut off the USB connection from the wireless reciever and also the battery cover from the keyboard and mouse then sent them to switzerland....

About a week later I got a shiney new wireless keyboard and mouse set
