I have installed logmein on my computer and its working good. Nice and easy to use

I have my pc to turn on at bios and off at 1am.

I want to be able to remote onto my pc using logmein after it has turned itself on, but obviously no programs will have started up.

I could stick logme in service to start at startup and have no username and password but is there a way to still have my username and password login?

Cheers

Surely you could allow it to run from start up then connect remotely?

Yes, but how do i still use my login detail on the pc? i.e, computer wakes at 6am, gets to login pages and stops because logmein service is not running

Would i have to remove my password from my account?

You can set your account to log in automatically. Open up command prompt (as admin) and type 'netplwiz' without quotes and press enter. Uncheck the box about users having to enter a password to logon. Enter your password and off you go!

I'm a bit confused here.

If Logmein is installed on your PC and you can connect to it from another PC then you shouldn't have to do any thing else. Unless you have done something from the norm, the Logmein service starts with the computer and if you connect to that computer from a remote site you will be able to automatically connect and have it log in.

pretty sure it can install as a service, this means it'll be active before login.

if not, then just use

control userpasswords2

to autologin to your machine.

never remove the password from an account

Yeah the logmein service starts automatically - this is how I reboot servers remotely and are able to continue working. Services are started before you log in (the login service must have started to enable you to log on for example)

Logmein does start before login as a service. I have it installed on an Asus EeeBox that is running Windows 7 and brings up the login screen when I connect remotely.

Logmein will allow you to do this without having to fiddle with it. Did you try before posting?
