Hi there,

I broke my mouse (Logitech MX1000), which was part of a keyboard/mouse set (Logitech MX3100). I filed this as a fault with a MX1000, rather than a MX3100, but did state in my initial email that is was part of the MX3100 set.

They have sent me a new mouse and receiver, but the receiver is only for the mouse, rather than the mouse & keyboard.

They are asking me to send the USB and PS/2 ends of my old receiver, but then I won't be able to use the receiver. On the new receiver i got with the mosue, its only got a USB connector.

Should I email them back and explain or just send them the usb end?

Reason i ask, is i don't know how tolerant logitech are for these sorts of things, i have had bad experiences with RMA before (other companies), so i just wanted to check

Cheers.

They won't notice :)
I've still got a MX510 here, scroll wheel is dodgy but otherwise the mouse works.
They asked me to send the USB plug, but I kept the mouse as otherwise it works fine.

Obviously, if you RMA large amounts of stuff and send nothing back then they'll start looking into things more closely, but otherwise, it got 'lost' on the way to Switzerland ;)

As leezer says, as long as it's a one off and that your also happy with what you have then things can always get lost in the post ;)

If not and you still want all compatibility with keyboard and mouse then throw them an email and blame them for the screw up as they should have read the first email you sent and demand another replacement.

Job done :)
