Not too sure how many people will get as excited as i am but the other day my wife brought home a little present for me. She knows i'm really into my film photography and saw a camera at a car boot sale and thought i might like it.

So now i can proudly say i own a 1986 ZENIT LC-A!
paid handsome sum of £15 for it so i'm quite impressed with her!

enjoy, it will either be fun for a few weeks at which point the novelty will wear off or you will be hooked for life!

Yeah seems to be chalk and cheese. I need some new light seals but will hopefully get it out there soon.

thanks, yeah i'm well versed on the origins of retouching, I used to do a bit of dodge and burn back when I printed my own b/w images.

Is this a Russian camera ! ?
If so many, many, many years ago a mate of had a this make and it did have issues with very tiny holes/s bleeding light in to the camera body.
Looks good this retro camera.

Well technically yes but it was made for export so it's actually branded as Zenit rather than LOMO.
Yeah i think some of the character is those little light leaks, they can give some really interesting effects.
