ok we have been out and about, question comes down to food, where can you get reasonable priced food? All the places we saw were extortionate, any ideas?
Is there any cheap halal options maybe?

Try the Tokyo Diner near Leicester Square, really nice Japanese food, not too expensive.

My mate's been telling me about a wicked burger place in Angel, but I've not been there myself. And I can't remember the name... Useless post all round!

Try Rocket in Mayfair, Lancashire court. A main is about £10 and glass of wine about £5. It is in a secluded and cousy little street.

Depends what you call reasonable prices. Melati is just off leicester square area and does Malay food so it may do some halal although I think the owners are chinese malay. Certainly does lots of vegetarian and seafood options. If you get a dish each and share you can probably get by for about £10-£12.

Old Compton Street, Soho. youl find a small Italian food bar about 2 thirds of the way down, they do the most fantastic panini`s in London. Mozzarella cheese, sun dried tomatoes, Napoli salami by Negroni and a drizzle of olive oil, toasted to perfection for £3.80

;)

p.s. the natural history museums good too.

p.p.s. dont go in the cafe at one end of the street, its a rip off, i had a portion of chips, a sandwhich and a milk shake and it cost me £17. the sod had the cheek to make a comment about me not leaving a tip on my way out, i would have done had he have left me with more than my last 20 pence and a train ticket home.

DO an open top bus tour, they are great :D

we went to Landon a few weeks ago, did a boat cruise from Westminster to GreenWich (the Royal Observatory is quite good, with some nice views) nd if you have a tube ticket for that day, you get a discount as its lined in with TFL.
The tour of Tower bridge is good also, and only about 5 or 6 quid.
There is loads to do in London :)

yeah thats place is good, friendly owner!

I think the best japanese cooked food is at misato on the other side of china town, kind of near KFC. If you haven't been you should try it. Ridiculously oversized portions and amazingly cheap! :)
