Hey Guys,

I am struggling to use my camera enough.

Would anyone be interested in a walk-around one Saturday/Sunday in the next couple of months?

++Update 1++
Doodle for dates on this one - have limited it to before April.
https://doodle.com/poll/s8kaigwkyrmv68ns

Check all the dates you could potentially make, and we will see which is the most popular. I'll keep the poll open until the 13th Feb.

++UPDATE 2++
The most popular date were on Sundays, and the first one I'm at at a stag do, so let's get this booked in for Sunday 31st March. It should give time enough to fit it in for all.

Any suggestions for good locations? I have lived here for nearly a decade but can't think of one off the top of my head.

Poll completed.

Depends really, off the top of my head:
  • Graffiti around Shoreditch
  • Modern architecture around Eastcheap / Leadenhall area.
  • Views of the London skyline - Crystal Palace, Greenwich or Parliament Hill
  • Street - basically anywhere (Covent Garden, Borough Market are pretty good though)
  • Hampstead Heath or Richmond Park for some nature

There are also some tall buildings to go up, like the Sky Garden (needs a pass and organising but possible) and Westminster Cathedral for an alternative view

So I'm going to close the pole tomorrow then sorry the most popular date, anyone that wants to still contribute to the dates please do so, then we can get on to a rough schedule

So is anyone up for hitting both golden hours on this? The clocks go back on the Saturday night I believe, so adjusted times are 06.39 and 19.31.
I understand some will be travelling from outside of London so may be a bit tricky, but it doubles our beautiful light availability. - Thoughts?

I'm in for the 31st for sure, unless SWMBO decides that mothers day is now important or work decide that an actual life is unimportant.
Will be travelling down on the train from Notts.

Also got a friend in London with a shed load of new Fuji gear who needs an excuse to use it so presume nobody would if brought him along?
My view is the more the merrier!

It would be nice to get an idea of what everyone would like to achieve or any locations in addition to what we have suggested already. I hope to be out for the whole day (weather permitting of course)

For example this is a great little location that most people won't have seen - https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/227728329/st-dunstan-in-the-east/?hl=en

Was there any interest in going up to the Sky Garden? If so the free tickets are now available.
Please message me your first and last name if you are keen as I will need these to book the tickets. They do sell out so please hurry if interested. I was thinking 11.30 as sunset isnt until 19.30 and that might be a bit late? I'd be happy to stay out for that though. Let me know in the message your preference

Cheers guys, I am off out of the country tomorrow so will book the tickets tomorrow afternoon, anyone else that wants to go up to the sky garden, please trust me your names so I can get enough tickets.
:)

Sorry guys, there is no availability on 31st March - I've just got back from my trip and there was not enough time for me to do it before or whilst I was away.
Plan B - Westminster Cathedral or Monument both have elevated viewing platforms and we can probably choose on the day.

So I am going to probably have to make this a later start for myself - my friends have decided to hold a mini stag for me the night before.
Should be good to meet for about 11.30 (hopefully earlier) but am keen to be out most of the day. What kind of time was everyone thinking?
