London - cheap place for drinking/dancing a bar/club?

Hi,

Having been to Mahiki and Movida in the space of 4 days (I did literally bump into Sarah Harding! Not as hot in person) my bank balance has taken a hit.

I'm therefore after recommendation of where we can go that is reasonably priced, but you can also dance the night away till late.

There must be somewhere backpackers go??

Specifically in North/Central London/West End. Somewhere like Camden.

I'm after somewhere like Belushi's in Covent Garden, but with a dance floor. I hear that there is a bigger Belushi's in London Bridge, but to be honest that's a bit fo a trek.

To be honest it seems you'd be happy with any old crap. What do you want? Decent music or just somewhere with a delusion of grandeur?

Loads of backpackers/aussies go to Temple Walkabout. in Covent garden try Roadhouse or the Gardening Club. Also Digress in Soho is good.

Shaftesbury ave walkabout (up the hill from leicester square afaik) is also reasonably popular I think, for trashy cheapness w/ a dancey bit. if you get a walkabout card thingo (for £3) you can get £1.50 vodka redbull and 25% of all other drinks - though this offer I think ends at the end of august so you might need to borrow/beg/buy/steal one off someone there.

If you want to meet foreigners (I personally wouldnt go to these places but anyway) try Yates or O'Neils. Both pretty cheap and dance floors/packed.

On anon in piccadilly circus is £7 entry tonight but thursdays are awesome there! They have 3 floors, 9 bars with lots of dancing going on until I think 3am? Maybe 2am....

They have offers on beer (I think £2 for becks) but spirit and mixer will set you back about £4 or £5.

Great night though and definitely cheaper than mahiki and movida!!

Ignore the location, I actually live in London. I plan parties for the more Mayfair type clubs now if that's your kind of thing?

Which ones you organise for gurdas? my friends and I are regulars at places like aura, crystal, roof gardens, amika, no 5 etc. Plan for any of them?
Also how did you get into that job out of interest as its something me and a friend are keen to do?

You just have to be good at getting lots of people out to clubs. The better quality and larger crowd you can bring, the more money you can make.

I used to work for a company specialising in bringing hot girls to clubs... pays very well.

WHAT! That sounds like heaven!
The mates who go to these clubs have unfair amounts of money and are always getting tables with silly minimum spends so maybe its something i should look into!
