London tube attack.

Morgan, 34, was heard to tell horrified onlookers: “This is not a terror attack, I only want him.” Mr Porritt, who suffered a severe injury to his hand, told jurors it was like a “horror movie” and the Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi film Terminator.
Phew I bet a lot of people let out a sigh of relief and sat back down again after that reasurrance.

I've been in a sleepy village pub when someone stormed in and tried to attack someone else with an axe. Not sure it's entirely a London thing.
And that was 30 years ago!

Been 2-3 chainsaw attacks in pubs, not in London, over the years.

Violence like this definitely isn't a London thing.

e attack, this is why I can't wait to get out of this city. This events are becoming more common each year.
This happen last year but the footage was released this year.
I see this happening often now, man was stabbed in a tube last week.

The threatened biggest train strike in UK history may give you some respite from your worries :)

The only time I was ever subjected to a mugging (which failed) was in 1969 on my way to Hyde Park on the tube. The attacker grabbed my sleeping bag which I was holding by a leather belt wrapped around it. Luckily knives were not very prevelent and he was not armed and he ran away otherwise it would have been an uncomfortable night after the music stopped.
My point is, I suppose, that the tube in London has always been a bit dodgy with slightly disturbed or avaricious people out for your stuff.

Yeah very strange for him to target someone specifically. After reading the opening paragraph I was certain it must have been provoked in some way, whether he bumped into him earlier on without an apology, or maybe failed to say thankyou when the guy held a door open for him. Could be anything as ridiculous as that which has suddenly made the attacker snap and go after him.

The attacker surely doesn't just carry a machete around with him. This was either gang related or beef between two people that know each other.

You have to understand how incredibly rare this sort of thing is. I'm born and bred Londoner, using the Tube almost daily for over 40 years and apart of a bit of argy-bargy when it's too crowded when a couple of people bump together and couple unpleasantries are exchanged I haven't seen anything even remotely anything like this.

This.

The new will have you think that things like this are happening daily in any city of the UK, because fear and sensationalism sells.

Simply stop reading/watching the news and look for the good things in life and, I know from my experience of doing it, your life will seem a lot more peaceful and calm.

I mean this won't stop you getting hacked up by a mad man with a machete, but at least you'll enjoy more days than not leading up to that :p
