Long file names.

Howzit guys,

I am copying a lot fo data for a user. The data size is around 60Gbs of files. Now he has folders inside folders inside folders etc..

When I copy the files, (and there are 1000s of them - so renaming isn't an option) I get the normal -"File name too long" error.

What program can I use (Pref free) to copy the data across to a new hard drive?

7zfm

install 7zip and use the 7zip file manager

7zfm in 'run' will open it


I've used it for exactly the same problem

I hate it when people use massive folder and file names

And yes, I hate it too when users go overboard with folder creation!
