Good morning all

My name is John. I use to be into games a long time ago but with settling down and getting married ect I have been away from the scene. Both my eldest kids are now into gaming on the PS4 Pro. I am wanted to start to get back into pc gaming myself. I don’t have the highest pc spec by any means but hopefully with some tweaks I can play some half decent multiplayer games.

Thank you for the welcome. I am so out of the scene so my be gentle as my specs are not very good but I hope to claw my back into the fold.

My pic specs are :-

Intel i5-4460 quad core 3.2ghz
12GB Ram
GFX - EVGA 550ti 1gb
PSU - EVGA 600B Bronze 600watt
2TB HHD
500GB External HDD
120GB SSD
OS Windows 10

To be fair if gaming at 1080p just upgrade graphics card and you'll be fine. The cpu whilst old isn't a terrible one.

Depending on what you wanna spend, I'd look at putting in 1060/1070 from nvidia and if wanting amd gpu a 580, all depends on what res you play at or if your wanting to start again from scratch (with prices atm starting all over again would quickly get expensive!)

Thank you for the reply. I'm looking st playing some cod and other fps. I will have a look for a new graphics card. Yes 1080p is what. I'm looking at for the moment,

Would that play the call of duty games please. Really appreciate yet advice. I have just got myself a steam account.
Both would play the COD games easily, the 1060 is more efficient than a 580 in regards to power consumption, Either card would play COD games in high settings at 1080p, Most tiles will run in high :)

Good call keeping the kids on PS4. I can’t believ you can get a new Pro with 1 game for sub £300. You can’t even buy a decent PC gpu for that.
