Longbow Apache's just flown over

And increased defensive aids.

The new Rolls-Royce engines are a great improvement over the original powerplant
I didn't mean to make it sound trivial, the Brit version is (like most of out warfare technology) amazing.

I do find it funny how we ordered them and then realised we didn't have any suitable trained pilots.... woopsie.

The UK Apache is a fantastic piece of equipment.

I think I remember correctly saying that our pilots were trained by the American system, but now now they are trained they are actually out performing the Americans! :D

Yup. See my above post. We bought them all and forgot that they're special helicopters and really difficult to pilot (two hands needed at all times afaik). So we had to pay the yanks to train us.

funnily enough we had tornados fly mega low over lutterworth today as well. shook the windows a bit as they flew by. lots of cloud so they were bloody low! im guessing a couple of hundred feet as you could see the numbers on it!

I had a pair of Apache's fly by my neck of the woods a year or two ago.

There must be some sort of army training flightpath or similar very close to where I live. We often get very low level choppers flying past SW to NE, just skirting the edge of town. Mostly it's just one or two Chinooks or Pumas, but occasionally a flight of Lynx's and smaller spotting types cruise by in formation, which is very cool.

Only seen the Apaches once though. But I must say they did look like they could take care of business.
