Longest pointless journey?

Where does it say that they bought a brand new one? I presumed that as they were only using it for 6 months (taking the assumption that they're not mentally deficient) they bought second hand. They'd certainly be mental to buy an motorhome second hand unseen when they were planning to do a once in a lifetime 6 month road trip in it..

Maybe it's the wording but saying that they're buying a new motorhome could imply either that it's new to them or that it's brand new. I've read it as the latter but it could be the former.

Was a mates +1 at a wedding a few years back, didnt even know the people getting married!

Drove from the Midlands to Elgin (top of Scotland) on a friday afternoon, arrived about 10pm and went up town.
Wedding saturday afternoon/evening and up town saturday night.
Drove back Sunday.

20+ hours driving over 2 1/2 days for a few beers and a wedding where I knew one person, never again!

:p

I can see how that would be pointless.. elgin is such a boring little 'city'

Hertfordshire to stranraer. Drove through the night to get there, slept in the car in a car park. Woke up, shouted STRANRAER for a few minutes, had a fry up and drove home.
