Longest serving component in your current main machine?

Not quite sure how old it is but probably over 10 years.

Intel 100mbps network card - why you ask? it goes in every rig becuase i've not found a single bootable linux or windows install or recovery program that cannot use it to connect to the network :) where as the last few onboard gigabit cards i've had have needed drivers most of the time.

god send tbh!

I have a 2001 Plextor 16x cd burner, still use it to resurrect old audio cd's. Cost 140squids then, still going strong....Jleo totters of to touch the oak dining table.

My floppy drive is out of an old 486, oh and I've got an ancient 13 gig hard drive with my very old junk on it.

My Cheiftech Dragon is getting on for 4 years old I suspect.

EDIT: Oh my god, I've just relised I've been on these forums for 5 years!!!

4 years?

My SoundBlaster Audigy has to be over 7 years old now! My speakers are the same age, not sure if they count though!

I don't have my floppy drive installed any more, but if I did it would be by far the oldest. It is around 15 years old!

I think my entire rig except PSU is over 5 years old, it's my Dads PC now.

GA-K8NNXP
ClawHammer 3200+
OCZ Memory
Geforce 4 Ti4600

I think it's something like that.

I still have a 10 year old 6 gig samsung hard drive in my current rig, it still works fine (apart from being loud and slow :p) so why not?

Because it is loud and slow? :p

I don't have any really long serving components myself, but some of my peripherals have been in service for a long time. I have an old Logitech joystick which has served me well, and a Microsoft Optical mouse which has only recently been replaced by a Razer DeathAdder.
