Longest shift you've worked?

23 hours for me. Got called in to fix an IT problem and didn't leave until I'd damn well fixed it :)

I once did a 14 hour shift during my time in the baking trade (about 5/6 years back), got in for 5:30 in the evening, didn't finish until 7:30 next morning. Hated night shifts in the run up to Christmas. :(

Unless you sign a waiver (I don't know if this is still in operation?)

The waiver is for an average working week of 49hrs over a 13week period. If you work in or around machinery ie forklifts by law your not allowed to do more than 12hrs with a minimum of 8hrs between shifts. Although some companies break that.

Haven't read the rest of the thread so no idea how it fits in
the longest I have done is 9am monday to 1pm weds so 52 hrs

I would admit to nipping off for a few 30min kips in the car though

I work in very high end server support so if things are going wrong then I am stuck with it, the above is extreme though, the normal for a long shift is around 30hrs

27hrs is the longest ive worked, only had one break which was after the first 6 hrs , its the first and last time i`ll ever work that long, i get tired just thinking about it :yawn

I'm sure we must share the same job. :p

19 hours, 3 hours off then back in for another 8, Thursday and Friday just gone.

I do a 13/14 hour shift every Thursday, so i'm used to long hours.

:)

Did a 21 hour shift a month or so back when Pendulum were at Loughborough. Started setting everything up at 11am, got out the building at 8am the next day.

I'm not sure if you'd count is as a "shift", but working on my film I did almost 40 hours straight thanks to Red Rooster and Pro Plus. Got a lot done.

For paid work, I think it was 12 hours when I worked at Drayton Manor on fireworks night.
